The L’Orient was a truly majestic and deadly 118-gun ship-of-the-line, and flagship of the French fleet at the Battle of the Nile. Although she is best known for her spectacular destruction during that battle when her ammunition storage exploded, she still remains one of the most iconic ships of the French Navy.
